I was part of the Houdini development team responsible for making the cracking and dynamics for the Bridge Collapse sequence in Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard.
The skin blistering shots were rendered with Maya IBL.
The closeup shot of this guy's arm I did a matte painting for because the standard blister f/x were not interesting enough for the extreme closeup. This was the most nauseating show I ever worked on.
I added these two trees to Superman. I used Maya L-system trees and rendered them using IBL lighting.
For Superman I modelled, rendered and animated a forest of trees reacting to a blast of dust.
I was the f/x developer for all the "cocoon" shots in The Last Mimzy. These were large procedurals done in Houdini.
